ISO-22476-1:2022 STANDARD

ConeTec RSCPTU, SDMT, and DST in Papua New Guinea

Cone Penetration Testing standard, ISO 22476-1:2022

ConeTec is now able to calibrate cone penetrometers and conduct field CPTu testing in general accordance with the new and rigorous ISO-22476-1:2022 standard: 'Geotechnical Investigation & Field Testing - Part 1 - Electrical Cone and Piezocone Penetration Testing'. This standard is a significant step change upgrade from the previous 2012 version.
Collecting high quality geotechnical information for our clients while performing a wide range of site investigation services is part of how we measure success. This is achieved by:

  • Advanced in-situ testing equipment calibrated to the latest standards
  • Executing scopes with specially trained personnel following rigorous QAQC controls to meet or exceed these standards
  • Site investigation professionals supporting our field and operations teams from across the globe, some with 40+ years of industry experience

We are proud to offer ISO 22476-1:2022, Class 0 and 1 cones for testing soft or sensitive soils or mine tailings with a higher degree of confidence.

ConeTec Australia General Manager

Tierney Boulter
GENERAL manager, AUSTRALIA

Tierney Boulter graduated from the Geological Engineering program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Tierney first started with ConeTec in 2012 as a co-op student performing technical duties on several tailings storage facility projects in Canada and Peru. Upon graduation, Tierney joined ConeTec as a full-time Field Engineer. Focusing on mining and tailings related site characterization projects, Tierney specialized in operating ConeTec’s complete suite of in-situ testing and sampling equipment.

Tierney served as Senior Project Manager for one of ConeTec’s northern Alberta operations, directing all aspects of field operations for numerous comprehensive site investigation projects. Tierney has extensive experience with CPTu deployment (Seismic, Gamma, Resistivity), undrained shear strength profiling, drilling and sampling (mud rotary and sonic techniques) and various geophysical testing methods. In February 2020, Tierney started her current role as General Manager for ConeTec’s Australian Operations.

Geotechnical and Environmental Equipment in Australia

Backed by a global suite of site characterization equipment, our Australian fleet includes 220kN CPT track rigs with low ground pressure, capable of accessing terrain where wheeled vehicles cannot. The fleet is also supported by portable, highly adaptable 200kN ramsets which are well suited to remote and limited access work.

Additionally, with ConeTec's strategic partnerships in the region, we are able to increase our capacity to provide full-service drilling and sampling along with in-situ testing services.
