Highway 413
SECTOR: Infrastructure - highway
LOCATION: Humber River Valley, Ontario
DATE: 2024
EQUIPMENT: terra sonice 150 drill, hydracore hc5000s heli-portable sonic drill, 20-ton Truck CPT rig, Portable Geophysics
Working in collaboration with Thurber Engineering Ltd., the team utilized a combination of sonic and diamond core drilling, heli‑portable sonic drilling, CPT testing, and portable geophysics to safely and efficiently collect high‑quality subsurface data.
The investigation successfully addressed deep bedrock conditions, complex overburden soils, restricted access areas, and environmental sensitivities, delivering critical information to support the design of this key piece of Greater Toronto Area infrastructure.
